As we await the official launch ceremony, we can confirm that Ferrari’s new Special Limited Series model will use a 6.3-litre V12 engine producing 789bhp at 9,000rpm and 516 lb-ft of torque at 6,750rpm.
This is combined with an electric motor producing the equivalent of 161bhp (and 191 lb-ft of torque) to deliver a total output of 950bhp and 715 lb-ft, some 47bhp and 51 lb-ft more than the McLaren P1.
Performance is suitably staggering; zero to 62mph in less than 3 seconds, zero to 186mph in less than 15 seconds and a top speed in excess of 217mph. That stunning 0-186mph time is over 2 seconds ‘faster’ than McLaren’s recently unveiled P1.
More details shortly (at the official 12pm CET launch).
