BMW UK announces the M3 Coupé Frozen Silver Edition

To mark the 40th anniversary year of M GmbH, BMW are offering a limited-edition M3 Coupé Frozen Silver Edition model for UK customers. 2012 will also be the final year of production for the E90/E92/E93 Model M3, before the V8-powerplant is replaced with a new turbocharged six cylinder unit in the new 3 Series, so this might also become a collectible last edition.

The deal is done – Audi just bought Ducati

Audi has released a statement confirming its purchase of thoroughbred Italian motorcycle maker Ducati, in a deal that is thought to be worth €860 million ($1.12 billion). The transaction will be now completed as quickly as possible once authorised by the competition authorities.

Audi RS Q3 Concept plays a starring role in Beijing

One of the stars of this month's Auto China show in Beijing, is bound to be Audi's crowd-pleasing RS Q3 Concept, a purely one-off show car (for now) which combines the Q3's SUV body with the turbocharged five-cylinder TFSI engine from the TT RS.

With 355bhp the RS Q3 will sprint from zero to 62mph in 5.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 165mph.

Lotus speaks out about its relationship with China’s Youngman (UPDATED)

Alfa Romeo 4C will be built by Maserati, first prototypes later this year

Maserati confirmed on Thursday that it will produce the new Alfa Romeo 4C two-seater sportscar. Up to 2,500 units per year will be made at its factory in Modena from May 2013, after firstly delivering 60-70 prototypes to its Fiat Group sibling during 2012.
