Another guaranteed star of this weekend’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will be Lamborghini’s Sesto Elemento, seen here in a behind-the-scenes image taken at the Sesto Elemento photoshoot in Monterey prior to the weekend.
The Sesto Elemento, meaning literally ‘Sixth Element’ in Italian, was first shown at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
Lamborghini planned to make just 20 cars for track use, but in many ways the Sesto Elemento acted as a test-bed for the carbon fibre construction of the monocoque and body panels now used in the Lamborghini Aventador.

Boasting a kerb weight of just 999kg and a power output of 562bhp from its 5.2-litre V10 engine, Lamborghini claims a top speed of 217 mph and 0-62 mph acceleration in 2.6 seconds.
The Sesto Elemento will be joined at Pebble Beach by the Urus SUV concept, which is likely to enter production in 2013.
