The new Lexus LF-Gh hybrid concept will make its world debut on April 19th at the 2011 New York International Auto Show. Lexus has described the concept as “signalling Lexus’s redefinition of the luxury grand tourer”, so it would be a reasonable assumption to view the LF-Gh as a successor to today’s popular Lexus GS 450h.
Inside Line magazine suggest that the nomenclature stands for ‘LF’ meaning ‘Lexus Finesse’, ‘G’ being short-hand for ‘GS’ and ‘h’ representing ‘Hybrid’, however Lexus UK have defined LF-Gh as “Lexus Future Grand Touring hybrid”.
I’m inclined to go with the latter, but we’ll find out for sure on the 19th.
