This is Porsche’s new 2010 911 Turbo, now powered by an all-new 3.8-litre, direct-injection, twin-turbo flat-six, delivering 500bhp.

The new engine delivers 20bhp more than its predecessor – enough to achieve a 0-60mph time of 3.7 seconds (three tenths quicker than the current Turbo) and a top speed of 194mph.

it can now be specified with wheel-mounted levers rather than the confusing push-button controls that it has been supplied with on other 911 models.

More significantly Porsche have now fitted the Turbo with it’s much lauded PDK twin-clutch gearbox – however it can now be specified with wheel-mounted levers rather than the confusing push-button controls that it has been supplied with on other 911 models. This time the driver simply pulls the left lever to change down and the right one to change up – thanks for listening Porsche!
