Such an experience would have left most of us rather partial to keeping our feet firmly planted on solid ground. But that's not how F1 drivers are wired, especially the likeable Aussie racer Mark Webber.

Team Lotus has confirmed today that it is expanding its wind tunnel operations having confirmed a deal with Williams F1 to use one of the Grove based team’s two wind tunnels from September 2011.

McLaren GT is the name of the new company which brings together the expertise of McLaren Racing, McLaren Automotive and CRS Racing, and the team got down to business today when it unveiled its GT3 car and plans for a 2011 development programme which will see Andrew Kirkaldy, Oliver Turvey and Álvaro Parente race the 12C GT3 in 2011.
