After bringing you news of Lexus' attempt to break the production car record at the Nürburgring last week, the company have finally produced the on-board video of its driver, Akira Iida, and confirmed the time of 7:14.64.

LFA test driver and professional racer Akira Iida recorded a lap time of 7:14.64 in a fully road-legal LFA Nürburgring Package car, running on standard specification Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tyres. In conquering the famous German race track from which it takes its name, the LFA becomes the fastest series production car around 'ring.
