Seperated at birth: Porsche’s 911 GT3 Cup and 911 GT3 RS road car
Time for a bit of gratuitous car porn for no other reason than it's Friday evening and sometimes we all need a bit of a lift - in spirits. I make a point of watching as many of Porsche's single-make Cup championships as possible, keeping track of the Carrera Cup GB which runs as a support series to the BTCC and also the Mobil1 Supercup that supports the majority of Formula One races.
We've got some great British Porsche drivers, not least Tim Harvey who won this year's 2010 Carrera Cup GB, but we've also been pretty successful in the premier Mobil1 championship with Sean Edwards, Nick Tandy and last year's Carrera Cup GB champion Tim Bridgman.

Korean Grand Prix – Digital Race Facts
The digital race facts from Mercedes Petronas GP that we published for the Japanese GP proved so popular, that I thought I'd share the team's preview document for the new Yeongam circuit in Korea as we get ready for this weekend's grand prix.
You're probably already aware that Yeongam is another new Hermann Tilke designed circuit and that up until a fortnight ago we weren't 100% sure if the inaugural Korean grand prix was still on - such were the concerns that the circuit would not be ready in time.

Di Resta tops DTM championship after Hockenheim win
Scotsman Paul Di Resta took the German touring car (DTM) championship lead today at Hockenheim, after his third race win in a row. The Mercedes DTM driver, due to move into a full-time F1 seat with Force India in 2011, was able catch and pass pole-sitter Timo Scheider who was joined on the podium by fellow-Audi driver Mike Rockenfeller.

BMW confirms its return to DTM in 2012
Well this is the best motor racing news we've heard in a long time. The return of BMW to the DTM from 2012 is now a reality. The news was confirmed by the company during the DTM race at the Hockenheimring this weekend.

Lotus Motorsport and ART unite for GP2 and GP3
Lotus Motorsport in collaboration with seasoned championship winners ART Grand Prix have confirmed their participation in the 2011 GP2 (Europe and Asia series) and GP3 series. The contract with ART Grand Prix sees Lotus commit to providing technical and engineering support for the GP2 and GP3 race series for the foreseeable future.
