Last year when BMW won all three DTM titles it produced the very unique M3 DTM Champion Edition, complete the Frozen Black metallic paint and the livery run by its champion winning driver, Bruno Spengler.

So the precedent was set for Audi’s Mike Rockenfeller, who won this year’s DTM drivers title at the last round in Zandvoort.

The ‘A5 DTM Champion’ model is Audi’s way of celebrating ‘Rocky’s’ victory, a more affordable way of showing your support than BMW’s £80,000 special.

Available in Misano Red, Daytona Gray or Glacier White, the A5 DTM Champion model is available with a choice of four engines; the 175bhp 2.0 TDI quattro, 242bhp 3.0 TDI quattro, 222bhp 2.0 TFSI quattro and 268bhp 3.0 TFSI quattro.

Features within the package include DTM badges on the front wings, door sills and side sills with further styling touches inside of the car. A fixed rear wing is added in body colour, while exterior mirrors receive an aluminium look. Finally 20-inch cast aluminium wheels are added in a V-spoke design.

The DTM package is available at an added cost of 1,900 euros (approx. £1,600), with order books opening on October 21st. Audi will produce just 300 cars, with most of those likely going to German customers.
