Supercar tuner, Edo Competition has turned its attention to Ferrari’sCalifornia, sharpening the looks and upping its performance.
Thanks to a re-programmed ECU, Ferrari’s first car with a front-engined V8 and folding hardtop can now develop 500bhp and 369lb ft, up from 454bhp and 358lb ft. Edo doesn’t claim any change to the California’s 0-62 time of 3.9 seconds or its 196mph top speed, but in-gear acceleration will be improved.
A new high-flow exhaust can be fitted, which has a driver-controllable silencer bypass valve.
Edo will also fit a new suspension system, which drops the car by 35mm front and rear as well as offering adjustable compression and rebound damping allowing ‘a custom tailored ride for cruising, spirited driving, or competition’. Several wheel options are offered, with design, colour and size all being customisable.
No prices have been announced.
