Until the new 246bhp Focus ST goes on sale in Summer 2012, this is the most sporty Ford Focus you can buy. Powered by a choice of four engines including the 177bhp 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol, the Zetec S has been developed specifically for the UK market.

Based on the existing Zetec model, the ‘S’ adds a full sports styling kit including unique front and rear spoilers with lower sill extensions and 17-inch alloy wheels, together with sports suspension featuring stiffened springs and dampers, aluminium-style sports pedals, rear LED tail lamps and Ford Power starter button.

Ford Focus Zetec S - Interior

The Zetec S, which is on sale now in a five-door body style, is priced from £18,745 on the road, equivalent to a Focus Titanium. An Estate version will join the 5-door version in February 2012.

Ford’s fuel-saving ECOnetic technologies are applied to offset the increased performance, a top speed of 138mph and 0-62mph in just 7.9sec is achieved with only 139g/km CO2 being emitted. The range also includes the 113bhp 1.6-litre TDCi, 123bhp 1.6-litre Ti-VCT petrol and the 161bhp 2.0-litre TDCi.

At £18,745 on the road the Focus Zetec S is priced just £1,250 above the equivalent Zetec derivative. Options include the award-winning Driver Assistance Pack, cruise control with Active Speed Limiter and a Zetec S interior pack featuring Inferno Red partial leather, heated front seats, power driver seat, power rear windows and global closing for £800.00.
