When Infiniti announced their FX Sebastian Vettel Crossover last year, I’m sure I wasn’t the only person who thought, “..surely they could develop something a bit more ‘in keeping’ with speed and drama of Formula One”?
Then a few months later, details of the company’s Advanced Sports Car concept emerged and we were even more bemused by their timing.
The Infiniti EMERG-E will be the first car from the brand to offer a mid-mounted range-extending drivetrain for optimal handling. It looks – fantastic.
There will be more to say once the concept premieres at the Geneva motor show next month, but in the meantime if I were Sebastian I’d be negotiating a trade-up from his bulky SUV to something far more in keeping with a 25-year old F1 champion.
