Leaked pictures have emerged of Lamborghini’s 50th Anniversary tribute model, based on the Aventador coupé. The LP720-4 50 Anniversario will be launched during the forthcoming Shanghai Motor Show.
With around 710 bhp (720 PS) from its 6.5-litre V12 engine, the LP720-4 will accelerate from 0-62mph in 2.9sec and be capable of 218mph.
The bright yellow hue is called ‘Giallo Maggio’ (Yellow May) and contrasts with a carbon fibre body kit, exclusive to this limited-edition Aventador.
Further details will be announced when the Auto Shanghai Show opens its doors at the weekend, but we understand just 100 examples will be built – each featuring a plethora of Lamborghini’s ’50’ anniversary monikers to validate its special status.
