Great news for fans of Aston Martin – expect to see the fastest ever Vantage burbling down the coastlines of exotic locations such as LA and Rio de Janeiro from later this year as the British marque launches an Americas Vantage production run.

Despite being launched in the UK in 2009, the Vantage has never been officially available across the pond until now.  Due to apparent “unprecedented customer demand,” Aston Martin has decided to produce a V12 Vantage that satisfies North and South American safety requirements.  We’re told the car will be available to buy in these regions from later this year.

To help pass the time between then and now, potential customers can salivate over the thought of the 6.0 litre V12 unit the car will feature, producing 510bhp which will power one of the most striking sports cars on sale today to 190mph.  Aston Martin also assures us that no changes have been made to the design and curves of the Vantage to accommodate the engineering refinements required to pass homologation tests in the Americas.

“This illustrates one of Aston Martin’s key strengths – the ability to act quickly and turn concepts and ideas into reality, giving our customers what they want,” said an obviously proud company Chief Commercial office Michael van der Sande after just a six month redesign process.

Also available from launch will be the limited Carbon Black special edition model.  This edition is pictured beneath and is home to extra features over its standard form via Carbon Black metallic paint, 10 spoke diamond turned alloy wheels, front parking sensors and more.

With these two continents making up Aston Martin’s biggest market, it’s an important move to cement the financial health of the company as it widens the breadth of available models to potential customers.  Prices are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, though expect it the final bill to comfortably break past the $200,000 barrier.
