British golfer Ian Poulter took delivery of his personalised Ferrari FF at last weekend’s Pebble Beach car shows in Monteray. The handover of his Tailor Made FF was just one of the highlights for Ferrari at this year’s Concours d’Elegance.

Last month Poulter visited the Maranello factory to see his car being made and add the finishing touches to his choice of trim and materials.

Although Poulter is of course British, he spends a lot of time over in the US, hence the reason why his car was delivered in California.

In fact his is the first Tailor Made Ferrari in the US, and to mark the occasion Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa handed over the keys during a special evening event with over 300 clients of the Prancing Horse.

As you can see from the pictures, he has certainly chosen a unique looking car, with his special ‘Ian Poulter Tartan’ trimming the doors, seats, central armrest, centre console and roof lining.

The Ian Poulter tartan has become synonymous with the man himself, reflecting his passion for clothing and his mantra, “Look good, feel good, play good.”

Poulter chose a ‘Sabbia’ triple-layer paint livery for his FF, with the interior in black Poltrona Frau leather together with his own tartan. The boot is trimmed in carbon fibre and high-tech fabric, which reflects many of the materials Poulter uses in his chosen sport.

It’s the first time a car from Maranello has been trimmed in tartan, so perhaps it will start a new trend.. (or, maybe not).

Around 120 new tartans are developed each year and registered with the Scottish Tartan Authority. The Ian Poulter tartan was recently added to the official list and now adorns a truly unique and ‘tailor made’ Ferrari FF.
