Fancy an utterly manic Impreza tuned by one of the best in the business? We’ve just been sent these teaser images from Subaru of the new collaboration between themselves and engine tuners Cosworth that should deliver one of the most rapid Imprezas to ever hit the road.
The headline performance figures are as difficult to get your head around as the official Subaru Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 moniker is to remember. 0-62mph arrives in a brisk 3.7secs (your standard vanilla flavour Impreza WRX STI takes 5.2s) thanks to 395bhp delivered at 5,750rpm, figures impressive for a supercar let alone a four door hatch.
All-wheel-drive is naturally retained and monstrous six pot callipers and 355m front discs up front mean deceleration performance is as impressive as its acceleration. Brakes from AP Racing add to the whole big brand contribution philosophy this car seems to represent, with further tweaks over the standard WRX STI’s suspension, exhaust and interior setting this apart from current Imprezas.
There will only be 75 Cosworth Impreza STI CS400s produced so if you haven’t already expressed an interest, now might be a very good time to do so. When we receive prices, further specifications and exterior photos we’ll share them immediately here on SkiddMark.
