Who can resist peeking at the cover story for the all-new Lotus Magazine, as the team seek to recreate the smouldering tension of the movie “Basic Instinct”, complete with a prototype 2013 edition of the Lotus Elise.

This is just one highlight of Issue#2 of the new Lotus Magazine, the ‘paid’ customer magazine that was launched last September at the Paris Motor Show.

Issue 2 of Lotus Magazine

Joining this “Hollywood issue” is an interview with Jeremy Curl, the famous 28 year old explorer heralded as the new Lawrence of Arabia, a tribute to the legendary Jochen Rindt, the James Dean of Formula-One-Racing, a test drive with Matt Damon, a feature on the King of Surfing, Doc Paskowitz and a sneaky peak behind the scenes of Pretty Woman, one of the many motion pictures to have starred a Lotus. All this plus a photographic portfolio by acclaimed snapper Tom Schierlitz, dedicated to the start of the F1-season and the new Lotus-Renault GP entry.

Whilst Lotus CEO, Dany Bahar continues to remind us that this is a ‘Lifestyle’ Magazine, don’t let that put you off – Issue#1 featured a fascinating article by David Tremayne looking into the dangerous style of Lotus racer Graham Hill, whilst there’s also an interview with Lotus’ chief engineer Roger Becker who became one of world’s most unlikely movie stars when he stood in for Roger Moore during the filming of The Spy Who Loved Me.

Issue#2 of the magazine also heralds the launch of the accompanying Lotus Magazine website, which contains selected articles from the magazine (such as the ones mentioned above) and a sneak peak at the Hollywood shoot from Issue#2.
