To mark the launch of the new Peugeot 208 GTi at this week’s Paris Motor Show, the French car maker will produce just 54 Limited Edition models, with 29 of those earmarked for the UK.
The allocation of 29 cars, signifies the number of years since the UK launch of the original 205 GTi back in 1984.
Each launch edition GTi model will be individually numbered from 01 to 29, and come with exclusive satin pearlescent white paint and 17” ‘Carbon’ Onyx Black Alloys. All cars will also feature a Union Jack flag on the lower grille, signifying the importance of the GTi badge to the UK, and come with Satellite Navigation and, for the first time on a Peugeot − the latest in Digital Audio Radio (DAB).
Production of the 208 GTi Limited Edition is scheduled for April 2013, with cars delivered to customers ahead of the 208 GTi official launch date in late May.
Peugeot has received over 11,000 UK orders since order books opened for the 208 GTi, underlining just how popular the model will be.
