With just over 6 days to go until its launch at the La Auto Show, Porsche have released another video of the Macan, this time showing it undergoing dynamic testing at the Weissach test track.
While hooning around a race track may be standard practice before signing off a Porsche, it’s an unfamiliar environment for most SUVs.

Porsche’s reasoning is simple, and throws down the gauntlet to their competitors; “We build sports cars. Always have done.”
Despite the impressive performance shown by the 394bhp Macan Turbo (167mph top speed and 0 to 62mph in 6.2 seconds) Porsche say “Power output is not the be all and end all. Emotions are our main development objective: the driving emotion that only a genuine Porsche can trigger.”

Emphasis has been placed on the Macan’s agility and dynamics balanced with safety, sustainability and social responsibility – in other words Porsche would like you to enjoy the Macan in the same way as you would a 911, Boxster or Cayman.
If they’ve got it right then the Macan will become Porsche’s best selling model.
