With Top Gear Live 2011 just 51 days away, the Stig took TV and radio presenter, Chris Evans, for a quick spin around the ExCeL London venue at the wheel of a Black Cab.
Unbeknown to Evans, this was no ordinary black cab but instead a rather unique 400bhp version of the iconic London taxi, complete with the stonking low-down torque of its Mitsubishi Evo 8 donor.
Negotiating service ramps, the underground car park and power-sliding through the show halls, The Stig gave his passenger a whirlwind 2 min 36 seconds tour of the 100,000 square metre venue.
Billed as ‘The ultimate Top Gear experience’, visitors can expect all the on-screen, supercharged excitement of the TV show rolled into one single event. At the centre of the new format is the new Top Gear indoor track featuring highlights from the TV show including Stig Power Laps and ‘Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car’, which Evans will join on 24th November at London ExCel. Further celebrity names will be announced in the coming weeks.
