A new two-door sports coupé will be revealed this Wednesday (29th August), before making its global debut at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
It will be the first design under the leadership of Volvo’s new design chief, Thomas Ingenlath, who joined the company last July. Ingenlath most recently worked for Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda and was responsible for the VW NILS concept car revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
“The company is heading for a new era and I am looking forward to be part of that development.” said Ingenlath before joining Volvo last year. “It will be a great challenge to define Volvo’s future design direction.”
It certainly looks like a radical departure for Volvo, with the company describing the new Concept C as the beginning of its transformation.
Look out for more news on the 29th August when Volvo pulls the covers back.
