Not content with a brace of trophies from last weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have now been given another couple of Italian bits of memorabilia – an Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari each.
The awkwardly named car is an extreme version of the Fiat 500, available in red, red or red with a Scuderia style pair of stripes down the bonnet. A 180bhp tuned 1.4 turbo engine and paddle gearshift means this Abarth can hit 62mph from standstill in under 7 seconds before heading on to 139mph should either driver (or any of the 600 owners who’ve snapped up one so far) wish to do so.
Alonso will need to consider enlarging his garage having already received a complimentary car from the Fiat stable earlier this year. We’re pretty sure the Abarth will give less of a buzz to these two than their F10 does each weekend, but it’s nice to see Ferrari dish give equal treatment to both their drivers for the first time in a while …
