Ollie Wilkinson and Optimum Motorsport teammate Bradley Ellis sealed the British GT Championship Silver Cup crown at Brands Hatch yesterday after another second place class finish gave the duo an unassailable points advantage with a round to spare in the new generation Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
A newcomer to British GT in only his third season of racing, Wilkinson and co-driver Ellis have dominated the Silver Cup at their first attempt, already taking five class wins to secure a second consecutive title for the Optimum squad who won outright last year with the Pro-Am pairing of Flick Haigh & Jonny Adam.
The final round of the championship will be held at Donington Park on the weekend of September 14th-15th.
