The Renault Alpine A110-50 concept sounded awesome driving up the hill at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, so it’s nice of Renault to provide us with this video as a memento of its most exciting car (by a long way).
The Alpine Berlinette turns 50 this year, hence the reason why Renault chose to redesign the A110 in a modern way – the Alpine A110-50 is what they came up with, building upon the platform and running gear of the racing Mégane Trophy.
While we wait to hear if the Alpine A110-50 might enter limited production, it doesn’t hurt to dream about our ideal road trip through the Alps, chasing a young Jean Ragnotti in the classic Alpine A110 rally car.
But to save building your own dreamscape Renault has very kindly shot a video showing just how much fun you’d be having – in either car. The drivers in the video include Ragnotti himself and fellow Frenchman, Erik Comas.
The subtext of the film is ‘Alpine A110-50 – Dedicated to Performance and Driving Pleasure’ and who am I to disagree. More please.
