After well over three decades of driving I might (finally) be showing signs of growing up. Not because I'm reviewing a new Volvo, although I'll come back to that somewhat jaded stereotype a little later. Instead I'm learning to value cars which manage to tick a multitude of boxes, treading that fine line between usability and fun.

Volkswagen acquires the remainder of Porsche at a valuation of €7.75 billion
Volkswagen has announced this morning that it has acquired the remaining 50.1 per cent of Porsche AG, not already owned by Volkswagen and will now move to incorporate the sports car maker generating approximately €320 million of net synergies.

Mclaren MP4-12C Spider goes on sale in the UK at £195,500
McLaren have chosen to fit a unique Retractable Hard Top (RHT) to its new 12C Spider, which can be operated at speeds up to 19mph (30km/h). The second model in the MP4-12C family comes to the market hot on the heels of Ferrari's recently released 458 Italia Spider, which appeared at last weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
