It’s new. It’s British. It’s powered by a 6.6-litre turbo-diesel engine good for 68.9mpg and 2000 miles on a single tank of diesel.
In standard form the Iceni delivers 430bhp and 950lbs-ft of torque at 3250rpm, but can be upgraded to 660bhp is also available and a staggering 1050lbs-ft (1424Nm) of torque.
Trident claim a top speed of more than 190mph, with the 0-60mph sprint being despatched in just 3.7 seconds.
The diesel engine, which is front-mid mounted, is able to run on mineral diesel, bio diesel, palm oil and linseed oil, which is perhaps indicative of the its low-tech source.
The all-new Trident Iceni will be built to order in Swaffham, Norfolk and priced from £75,000. You can view it at West London’s Syon Park from the 5th to 7th September.
