Maserati has released new video content, showing more of the details that will make the 2013 Quattroporte so distinctive. Due for launch in January at the Detroit Motor Show, the new Quattroporte is a brand new car featuring higher-quality interior, lighter body and redesigned chassis.
The new Quattroporte is the first of three new Maseratis which are thought to include an SUV and a smaller 5 Series sized Ghibli saloon.
A new V8 engine, designed by both Ferrari and Maserati technicians will be built at Ferrari’s factory in Maranello, while for the first time diesel engines will join the line-up when Maserati’s new SUV launches in 2014 – the car maker’s centenary year.
Maserati are planning to build two new factories located on different continents, which will significantly increase the car maker’s production capacity from 6,000-7,000 units today, rising eight-fold to around 50,000 units by 2015.
Further details of the new Quattroporte will be divulged in the weeks prior to its Detroit unveiling, with the next update due in the first week of December.
