Twenty-three seconds is all it takes for your ears to perk up when listening to the video, then by 0:42 seconds when the exhausts spit out their unburnt fuel you’re left in no doubt – Audi’s newest product promo hits the nail squarely on the head.
The new R8 V10 plus is a 542bhp coupé with soul in its DNA, zero to 62mph in 3.5 seconds, a top speed of 197mph and a list price of £124,675 make it the most expensive Audi ever sold, but also the most charismatic.
With a kerb weight of 1,570 kg, double wishbone front and rear suspension and standard carbon ceramic brakes it’s also a technical feast of all that Audi’s learned in its 14-year Le Mans campaign.
Evolution on the outside. Revolution on the inside. I’ll say.. (crank the volume up)
