Caterham has just announced, going against the trend in the car world at the moment, that it plans to increase production of the Seven and add to its workforce.
As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve tried very hard to ignore what’s been going on in the automotive industry this year – mainly because it’s depressing and you’ve probably had enough of constantly being told that
‘we’re all doomed!’. But, this is a bit of good ‘industry news’, so we thought we’d pass it on.
Having just achieved European Small Series Type Approval (like SVA, but for Europe) Caterham has increased production by 10-percent and will be adding to its 45-man workforce at the factory in Dartford.
The new employees will work in the production department to help alleviate the increased pressure on an order book that’s now full until October
