What can we say? 2009 will be remembered as the year when the Prius became uber-cool… Seriously, once you’ve watched this video you’ll believe it too. 😉

As someone who was hit by a Prius at a pedestrian crossing last week I beg to differ.
I was left with a slightly bruised and cut knuckle, and a sore shoulder for a couple of days.
It had a broken wing mirror, dented wing + door.
Car had been stopped when I stopped, looked and listened.
I stepped out, and was hit. Blasted thing was on electro power, old man behind the wheel wasn’t looking, so I didn’t hear it, and he didn’t see me.
Atrocious evil vehicles, should be made eligible for trashing under the government’s scrappage rules.

I was kind of hoping they’d blow one up at the end, Top Gear style!

Every time I see one I do everything in my power to overtake it, at maximum RPM, with the noisy button pushed on the exhaust!! They are a crime against decency……………but then so am I, so who am I to complain 😛

Someone said the Pious is one of the worst cars for CO2 emissions if you take into account the cradle to grave emissions. Parts sourced and shipped from all over the world create a huge amount of pollution.
So when the smug owners smile at you, you can point and smile back from your 911 !

@Andrew: Goodness, I’m very sorry to hear that. Although I have never been hit by one (!) I have often wondered how safe they really are in a built up environment, and now I know.
Not very!
