The new AC 378 GT Zagato, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, will get its UK preview at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 29 June-1 July.
The superbly styled Italian-designed 378 has attracted considerable interest since it appeared at Geneva and British car fans can be expected on AC’s Goodwood stand in large numbers. Many more will be able to see the car as it joins the demonstration runs up Goodwood’s famous hill.
As you can see from the photo, AC is back in business, with cars available to purchase from Brooklands Motor Company. Other UK dealers will be announced shortly.
Together with Brooklands, these dealerships will spearhead sales of the revitalised brand’s cars spanning classics such as the Cobra-inspired hand-crafted aluminium AC Mk II and the visually similar but more affordable AC MkII Classic, through to the all-new 378 GT Zagato, which features a 6.2-litre GM V8 engine delivering 434 bhp and the kind of aural qualities only a V8 can produce.
The stylish AC 378 GT Zagato was one of the surprise exhibits at Geneva. Conceived by the famous Italian design house Zagato as the Perana in 2009, the AC 378 GT Zagato reunites the AC brand with an Italian design heritage which spans both the AC Ace Bristol Zagato of the 1950s and the AC Frua of the mid Sixties.
Look out for the reborn AC brand and the new 378 GT Zagato at next weekend’s Festival of Speed from 28th June.
