McLaren P1 Concept now ‘almost’ fully revealed in new set of pictures

Given how comprehensive this latest set of pictures is, it's hard to believe they are 'leaked' rather than deliberately 'seeded', but either way they now reveal the a huge electro-mechanical rear wing which provides downforce at high speeds, but perhaps also acts as an air brake - as it did in the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

Back in 2010, Lamborghini revealed the Sesto Elemento ("Sixth Element") - a carbon fibre based supercar, powered by the Gallardo's 562bhp V10, but weighing less than 1,000kg. The car reached 'very' limited production (less than 20 cars), which is hardly surprising given its $2.2 million price tag.
